A saying posted on my fridge...
"Once you model self-control for your children, they will show better self-control than you have ever imagined they could achieve." Honestly, I am having a hard time with this today. Ugh! Siblings fighting, crying, kicking, pushing each other...it's exhausting! This past weekend I raised my voice to Liam for playing on the stairs, AGAIN... He said, "Mommm, you really shouldn't talk to me like that, it's not very nice." He was right. I am glad that he feels comfortable enough to bring my lack of composure to my attention. Another great saying, "To teach is to demonstrate by example" It's evil counterpart: "Do as I say, not as I do"...BAD! Thankfully, we got through the morning and are on track to having a fabulous afternoon! Of course, it's always fun when Thor shows up! And tinkerbell... Off to bake with Liam while Leighton naps...and then a play date at 3:30... More on cooking and recipes later today...
