The most wonderful time of the year...

...and BUSY!!
This past week is a complete blur!
My girlfriend Debra and I had our annual girl's holiday date night.
We went our for appetizers downtown Denver,
and then saw Adam Carolla do stand up.
It was...good.
I wouldn't say he was "hilarious" but parts were certainly funny.
We had a fun evening and braved a winter storm on the way home!

On Wednesday, my parents came into town to help me celebrate my 39th birthday.
They also got to attend the kid's Christmas concert at their preschool.
It was ADORABLE!!
I will try and post a few snippets from the DVD once I get it.
Leighton was searching around for us, finally spotting Daddy standing over to the side, snapping photos.
As soon as she saw him, she began yelling,
"My Daddy!!  There's my Daddy!!!"
Lucky for us, and the school, she was standing directly in front of a microphone :-)
It was so cute.
And, I can already imagine the tears this clip will illicit when I use it for her "growing up" video
at her VERY future wedding!

We just booked our trip out to the South Bay!
Yahoo!!!!
I miss our friends, the beach, the strand, and great sushi on every block!
I am very very excited.
I was going out every 3 or so months, and it's been awhile now...
I desperately need my fix!

We took the kiddos to Disney on Ice, Toy Story 3 yesterday...
and we are spending today, resting.
We ALL need it!

Here are a few pictures from the week...
Inspired by my sister Erin:
Nutter Butters dipped in chocolate (Liam helped!)
Pretzel antlers, googly eyes, and a red hot nose

Yummy-ness!

Christopher Popinkins spelled out Liam's name on his bedroom floor.

CP with hanging from the bunk with the evidence on his foot!

Liam's class, Heavenly Delight.  Second row from bottom on the far end.

Leighton's class, Sam's Firehouse.  Bottom row, 3rd from right in purple dress.

After the concert...kids (and Mommy) were POOPED!

Getting ready for birthday ice cream cake with my favorite baby boy!

Coloring the "biggest" picture ever in the kitchen with Grammy & Grampy

More crafty ideas!
Juice boxes covered in brown felt.
I hot glued the pipe cleaner to the box under the felt.
Attached small pieces of pipe cleaner to make the "antler"...
then glued the nose and eyes.
Off to get ready for another fun/hectic week...
girl's night tomorrow night: painting and pinot!!
I NEED it!!!
xoxo
